M. J. Kelley is a storyteller who grew up in and around the Santa Cruz, California area. His repertoire includes working as a salesman, graphic designer, website developer, English tutor, prep chef and professional sailor on the San Francisco Bay. He composes poetry, screenplays, novels, short stories and short-short stories of both the serious and the seriously comedic variety.

Most recently his work has appeared in NANO Fiction and the Porter Gulch Review. He is a photographer and has an immense passion for cinema and filmmaking. He recieved his Master of Fine Arts from Mills College in 2010. He currently lives with his loving wife and daughter in Oakland, California.
